Finding a new solution to provide shelter for up to 24 German scientists during the antarctic summer, was the task, given by “Alfred Wegener Institut” in Bremerhafen, Germany.
The architectural language is determined by the extreme conditions of this remote environment. Modularity, a compact shape and the desire for social interaction are the driving parameters for the final design.
